TABLE TALK #134

We’re buzzing to announce our very first supper club.

Not just any supper club, but one with a difference. No stiff formalities, no hushed voices over white tablecloths.

Just a simple yet magical formula: a good meal, good people, and the kind of wonderfully meandering conversations that Table Talk was built on.

🍝 MAIN COURSE 🍝
From day one, we’ve dreamed of hosting supper clubs, so this feels like something of a seminal moment.

Supper clubs have long been a way for chefs and food lovers to create something special outside the confines of a traditional restaurant. Some of London’s most exciting chefs - like Asma Khan of Darjeeling Express - got their start through underground supper clubs, inviting strangers into their homes to share a meal.

At their best, supper clubs strip away the pomp and ceremony of fine dining and bring things back to what truly matters: good food, shared with good company.

In a world where plans can feel predictable, where routines are well-worn and familiar, supper clubs offer something rare: an interjection of novelty, a chance to sit down with new faces, and the possibility of unexpected conversations.

There’s an energy that comes from sharing a table with strangers - a reminder that great company isn’t just the people you already know, but also those you’ve yet to meet. And at a time when so much of life happens online, there’s something refreshing - necessary, even - about coming together in real life.

The art of conversation, the joy of passing plates, the unspoken camaraderie of a shared meal. Some of the best discussions unfold with a glass in one hand and a plate in front of you - so why not create more of them?

That’s why we’re so pleased to be hosting our first supper club in collaboration with Refettorio Felix, a drop-in centre and community kitchen serving vulnerable people in Earl’s Court and beyond. Housed in a beautifully restored hall, it’s an inviting space that blends modern elegance with rustic charm, hosting everything from networking events to pop-up dinners.

Refettorio Felix believes in the dignity that comes with a good meal. All proceeds from the evening will go towards their incredible work, and we’ll be cooking with surplus ingredients to make something truly special - alongside our wildly talented chef Georgia.
